American Bulldogs

What do you know about them? I guy at the gym raises them and was telling me that they were good dogs. He sells them for up to $1500 each. Are they in anyway like Pitbulls? What kind of reputation do they have? Thanks.

American Bulldog is a different breed than a Pitbull. I don't know that I could justify $1500 for one; however. :)
