Everyday it seems more pet food brands are added to the recall list. How can we be sure that our dogs are getting the best food possible?
Hey Vickster -
Fortunately there aren't any dry dog foods on the recall list at this time. So you have plenty of choices. It seems at this time that wheat gluten may the ingredient to watch out for, so you may want to pick a dry food without it.

You know it is times like this I am glad I only feed dry dog food. I occassionally (once every two or three months) would buy a can of do food as a "treat" to Molly but I do not see that happening anytime soon.
I looked at some organic dog food yesterday but could not decide on the full benefits of it yet.

Lexi is on California Natural and I have not had any problems as of yet! It actually helpped her a while ago when she was loosing her hair. I just recently put Shelby on her own blend of California Natural.
I recently read an article on AAHA's web site that said the melanamine (sp) was added intentionally to the wheat gluten to boost protein levels. I haven't seen the supporting information yet.
I am working on an entry for the home page here with links and more information.

Just feed them left overs  Sure has been a worrisome ordeal and makes you wonder about the "food" for everyone. I have been way happy with the Costco brand by Kirkland over the years and their Jerky treats
All right D - don't make me moderate you posts! LOL :D
