I have a 1 year old female boxer and she has not gone into heat yet. Should I be worried?

Also she is pretty little for being a year old. She seems to be in good health.

Most dogs cycle every 6-9 months. Some are longer. If she is just a year old, I suspect that she is about due for her second heat cycle. Sometimes the first is not very "strong" and may go unnoticed.

Look for swelling of her vulva. That is the first thing you will see, followed by some spotting.
