Does anyone have any comments on keeping either Poison Dart frogs or Green Tree Frogs?
I like the size and appearance of the dart frogs, but the price on the Green Tree Frogs is a big plus...
I like the Red Eyed Tree Frog, but then I might as well go with the dart frogs...
There has to be a Green Tree Frog keeper on here, doesn't there?
Hey John! Welcome to TCAH.com forums. I don't profess by any means to be an amphibian expert. In fact, in our conversation earlier I was surprised to find out that the poison comes from their diet in the wild and therefore they are "non-toxic" in captivity. Nice to know!

I was hoping to catch someone who went the "wild caught" route on the Green Tree Frogs. I think they come from down your way. At least the mating call seems to have a touch of a drawl to it.
Ha ha! We definitely have green tree frogs in South Carolina! I've never had enough of a conversion with one to pick out any particular accent. What do they sound like up your way?

Generally pretty frozen sounding...
While we have tree frogs this way, and they are green, they are not "green tree frogs", and are adapted to our climate. Some overwinter by literally freezing...
Ours are not as interesting/active as yours.

No frog keepers out there???
How about someone from down that way with kids that catch frogs helping a guy out! How cool/neat/not cool/boring are your Green Tree Frogs?
